| One of our typical treks Day 01 Proceed to Old Delhi Railway Station to entrain Ranikhet Express ETD 2300 Hrs. Day 02 Arrive at Kathgodam Station, ETA 0550 Hrs. Reception and transfer by car to Matial. Hike up to Jilling Estate and check into cottages. Afternoon at leisure. Evening campfire with host Steve Lall to explain flora / fauna / history etc. of Kumaon Region followed by Folk Songs and Shaman performed by local artists and barbecue into the night. Overnight in cottages. Day 03 After breakfast proceed on hike through forests to observe birds / animals / temple / village etc. with lunch in picnic style. Evening campfire (different location to previous night) and leisure. Overnight in cottages. Day 04 After breakfast check out of cottages and hike to Matial. Proceed by car to Pancheshwar situated at the confluence of two rivers. Rest of the day spent fishing for Mahseer and exploring area. Evening campfire. Overnight in tents.
Day 05 Day spent fishing and relaxing. Evening campfire. Overnight in tents. Day 06 After breakfast proceed by car to Munsyari nestled below the beautiful Panchchuli range of mountains. Day at leisure (or short hike to nearby holy lake to try and observe the two elusive geese. Whoever chances to see them is supposed by legend to be blessed with good luck in his life!). Evening campfire. Overnight in tents. Day 07 After breakfast start a full day trek to Khalia Top, a beautiful highland pasture. Enroute observe spectacular scenery, flocks of sheep and keep a lookout for the beautiful Monal Pheasant, Musk Deer, Wild Iris, Brahma Kamal and other floral and faunal delights. Camp is set up at Khalia Top. Overnight in tents.
The whole day is spent trekking the surrounding areas of Khalia Top. Evening return to camp and enjoy a warm campfire. Overnight in tents. Day 09 After breakfast start a day long trek back to Munsyari by a different route. Evening campfire. Overnight in tents. (Note: you can purchase beautiful carpets, shawls etc. handmade by the local Bhutia people at very attractive prices in Munsyari) Day 10 After breakfast proceed by car to Chaukori, a former tea plantation with a beautiful and panoramic view of the Kumaon Himalayas. Enroute to Chaukori you can again try your luck fishing at Tejam. Evening at leisure to explore Chaukori and watch the sun set on the snow capped mountains. Overnight in tents. Day 11 After breakfast proceed by car to Naukuchiatal Lake. Late lunch overlooking lake. After lunch one can take a walk around, a dip in or a Boatride on the Lake. Evening at leisure. After dinner proceed by car to Kathgodam Railway Station to entrain the Ranikhet Express to Delhi ETD 2230 Hrs. Day 12 Arrive in Delhi at Old Delhi Railway Station ETA 0450 hrs for further onward journey. Note: 1. Guests are advised to bring their own rucksacks, sleeping bags, carry mats and personal gear. Carry mats can be provided if necessary. They are advised to include heavy clothing, raincoat and their own brand of cigarettes (for smokers) in their personal gear. 2. Drinks are not included in the package but can be arranged on request at an extra cost. 3.
